Which chemical rep do you use?

Postby LC Auto Clean » Fri Apr 04, 2014 9:39 pm

Hello all,

Question for you all, we all have reps we buy most of our chemicals and equipment from but I'm interested to see who uses who and why?

I buy most of my everyday valeting products from Image Chemical Products (Aquajet). Great value for money on the every day items such as tar & glue remover, interior cleaner, tyre dressing, snow foam ect.

The rep is very friendly and unlike many of the others in the area is not pushy or rude or just wanting to make a massive sale. I find most of the products to be of high quality. I do buy certain items online but most of my chemicals are from the Image rep :D

I voted for online, I get most of my goodies from Autobright and other bits from the likes of ECC or UF. I also stay very close to AngelWax and it very handy for popping in and getting those products that you cant get online  #TuffShit

Never been into Reps. I've always preferred buying in bulk online, such a big choice these days. Also with reps you have to meet them at specific time and place which doesn't really suit me.

I'm quite lucky with my rep as he parks up for his break right next to the place I work on a Thursday lunch time so it works well for me.

Prices you can't beat to for every day valeting products.

Anyone else use reps?

My experience is that there is no such thing as a one stop shop. Even though I make almost anything under the sun, I am not one of those who is daft enough to expect that a user will prefer every one of my products to the competition. I know that there are companies out there who demand that their customers buy only their products in order to achieve the pricing but I think this is something that verges on desperation - if you are putting that sort of practice into play, an intelligent buyer will realise that you don't truly have faith that your range can win on its own merit.

I think that there is merit in buying some stuff from the reps but you have to remember that these guys are sales people who are trained to get money out of your pocket and have you feel reasonably good about it! So buy only what you know to perform, it is all too easy to end up with a load of other stuff which is merely 'average' just because it worked out a bargain of sorts!

I use mainly online but 35% ish comes from the autosmart rep , I find the stuff that I get off him the best for the money but it also gives me a chance to talk shop in general and catch up with the gossip around the area and who's doing what
