AngelWax Halo as Trim Dressing

Postby Shine My Ride » Mon May 19, 2014 8:41 pm

Evenin chaps

I've been trying Halo on plastic trim, with mixed results. On my van mirrors, after two applications, it looks right, beads well etc

I have some vans I look after, one of which is a Pug Boxer, with mahoosive plastic bumpers and side trims. I normally see this van every couple of weeks, and when dirty, the plastics look like someone has rubbed mud over them :( When rinsing after washing, they bead amazingly, and dry don't look too bad.

Obviously my technique is wrong, so if anyone has some pointers I'd really appreciate it

You probably have tried this....

A strong APC mix on the plastics to cut them right back then an application of Halo??

Halo works better warm chris spreads far easier , that said gareth's right apc mix then apply . Same technique as c4 or the wolfs stuff you need to get a clean base for ultimate durability.

Cool, will try that tip too.

Next time I see the vehicle I'll give the plastics a good APC scrub, and then apply the Halo after warming a little

I have some Corona on the way, which apparently is Halo in liquid form

This is what I mean when it's dirty. When clean it looks fine. When I have more time I'll strip it back and reapply

If Iam honest it looks like something has brushed against it, as in some of the road film/dirt as came off.
