Farecla G3 and G10

Postby DonKeegan » Fri Jun 06, 2014 12:40 pm

Hi Guys, it's 15 years since I did a lot of valeting and I've fallen behind the times! Back in the day I used farecla G3 and G10 (also Tetrosyl Protet). I see that these are still available but wonder if you could recommend superior products? Also, if some one could refresh me on which foam pad goes with what I would be grateful too :)

You could use the 3M Perfect-It system, which is as straightforward as they come: Yellow top polish on yellow pad etc

Thank you. I noticed a bewildering display of 3M compounding products in my local autoparts store today (with each bottle having a different color cap). Could you recommend 2 products? A coarse and a fine compound? Or do I need more?

The yellow is medium, the blue is fine. Green is very coarse. I know of people that mix the yellow and blue to get the beat of both worlds

I do know of people that use a mix of 2/3 yellow with 1/3 blue for single stage work

Single stage as in one cut, or single stage as in no clear coat? Thanks again for your help
